Abstract
Structure of interfaces between Bi-superconducting oxide(BSCCO) and metals were examined using high resolution electron microscopy(HREM) and scanning tunneling microscopy(STM). The BSCCO-Ag interface was direct with no visible reaction product layer. Epitaxial relationships were noticed both in HREM and STM. Deposited silver atoms tended to align parallel to a axis of BSCCO. The BSCCO-10vol%Ag nanocrystalline composite showed optimum performance in Tc-zero and Jc.
