Abstract
The direct observation of propagation of the excitons confined at the stacking fault interface in layered BiI 3 is presented by using a newly designed space-resolved spectroscopy. Extraordinary large diffusion constants of more than 10 5cm 2/sec are obtained at 4.2K. The temperature dependence of the propagation mechanisms are discussed based on the weakly bound exciton model.
