Abstract

The cross-correlation spectral density of chemical shift anisotropy and dipolar interactions in isotropic solution of methyl formate is measured using a novel NMR technique designed to monitor the appearance of longitudinal two-spin order 2 I z S z during inversion recovery. The result is tentatively interpreted in terms of the orientation of the 13C- 1H internuclear vector with respect to the principal axes of the 13C chemical shift anisotropy tensor of the carboxyl group.
