Abstract

The Mössbauer spectrum of ilvaïte has been studied as a function of temperature. The changes that the spectrum undergoes with increasing temperature: change in the intensity ratios of its components, decrease of the linewidths and displacement of an absorption peak are interpreted in terms of an electron hopping process producing a motional narrowing of the lines.
