Abstract

Objective To explore the curative and nursing effects on the combined treatment with autologous cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells and IL-2 in elderly patients with hematological malignancies.Methods Sixteen hematological malignancies patients with the combined treatment of autologous CIK cells and IL-2 were systemically reviewed in nursing care methods and curative effects.Results Twelve cases achieved complete remission and 2 cases had partial remission.Transient fatigue and fever occurred in 2 cases.The general situation had improved after CIK cells transfusion including cancer fatigue, mental state, appetite and arthralgia.Conclusions The treatment of autolognus CIK cells combined with IL-2 in elderly patients with hematological malignancies is effective and safe.High quality of nursing care plays an important role for ensuring good efficiency before and after CIK transfusion.
