Abstract

The plasma current start-up in the Taban tokamak has been achieved via an electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) pre-ionization system. In the present work, the produced runaway electrons (REs) during ECR pre-ionization have been measured and investigated by hard X-ray (HXR) detection under different discharge conditions. The relationship between HXR emission and the loop voltage as well as the filling pressure in the Taban tokamak start-up phase has been reported.
