Abstract

The concept of observability of linear nonstationary systems with multiple delays is discussed and conditions for observability are established. An algebraic criterion for the observability of such systems is developed which depends only on the system's coefficient matrices and not on its solution. The criterion is shown to reduce to the existing criteria for the observability of nondelay systems.
