Abstract

This paper investigates the problem of observability analysis for linear singular delta operator systems. Firstly, the delta operator model is set up for a linear singular continuous system which is obtained from a suitable discrete model of the continuous system. It is shown that when the sampling period tends to zero, the delta operator model tends to the corresponding singular continuous system. Then, based on the relation between linear singular discrete and delta operator systems, various conditions are derived to judge whether a linear singular delta operator system is observable, R-observable and Y-observable or not. Finally, some numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the results in this paper.
