Abstract

Recently, there has been an increasing interest in the application of magnetic materials for radar absorbing materials design [1]. Many studies have been carried out to obtain magnetic composite material with high and matching permeability and permittivity [2], because absorbers based on such materials can provide a specified level of RCS reduction and a broad bandwidth with smaller thick-ness[3]-[5]. Many magnetic absorbers (MAs) with promising oblique incidence performance at the desired frequency are based on high permeability and permittivity. However, there is a lack of basic mechanisms about oblique incidence performance for MAs based on electromagnetic (EM) parameters.
