Abstract
In 2022 the transition of the construction industry to the use of digital models is going to take place, and it has begun with the obligatory implementation of BIM in the field of the government and municipal contracts. However, it is obvious that the implementation of BIM technologies will extend over time. To whom are the BIM technologies really necessary and useful? How real is their full implementation in the construction sphere of the Russian Federation in the nearest future? How ready are the domestic companies for this innovation?
