Abstract
Using a combination of technologies for object-oriented database system and expert system may prove beneficial to the future task for diagnosing fault under distribution systems. A object-oriented expert system, can be used more intelligently and efficiently to access very large diagnostic information and release an abnormal state in distribution systems, is proposed and discussed in the paper. To demonstrate its effectiveness, the fault diagnosis system is implemented using object-oriented programming language C++ and applied to practical data. Moreover, a window-based environment which makes the construction and updating of diagnostic information efficient and convenient has been embedded in the proposed system. >
