Objective comparison of counterfeit contact lenses to genuine contact lenses

Abstract

Purpose: Counterfeit lenses are becoming increasingly prevalent as a result of online fraud, however, little is known of the actual quality of these lenses and whether they could potentially cause problems for consumers. Novel technology offers a chance to aid in understanding the potential problems of using counterfeit lenses through a complete geometric analysis.
