Abstract

All core Internal Medicine residents at Dalhousie University rotate through the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) in their second year of training. In this busy environment, incorporating a component of dedicated formal teaching curriculum has been difficult. Education has previously been from informal curriculum and has recently been identified as a weakness of the rotation. We hypothesized that short, objective-based cardiology vignettes could enhance the educational experience of internal medicine residents while on CCU.
