Abstract

In patients with pulmonary regurgitation (PR) after Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) repair, cardiac MRI-derived right ventricular end diastolic volume index (RVEDVi)>150mL per m2 of body surface area (BSA) is sometimes considered an indication for pulmonary valve replacement. BSA however varies significantly with body habitus and RVEDVi can therefore under-represent right ventricular size in obese patients.
