Abstract

Differential target multiplexed spinal cord stimulation (SCS) utilizes various signals that are multiplexed spatially and temporally. A recent report of a randomized controlled trial (RCT) showed that differential target multiplexed SCS provided superior long-term back pain responder rate (subjects with ≥50% pain relief) relative to traditional SCS in subjects mostly diagnosed with persistent spinal pain syndrome. The study demonstrated the sustainability of the benefit of differential target multiplexed SCS therapy on back and leg pain[1].
