Consisting of twenty in-depth, highly rigorous articles written by Latin American authors, the volume Violencia de Estado na America Latina: Direitos Humanos, Justica de Transicao e Antropologia Forense, edited by the Argentinian anthropologist Javier Amadeo and published by the Federal University of Sao Paulo Press (EdUnifesp), is a book that deserves to be read by any researcher interested in better comprehending the interplay of violence, the state and social movements in Latin America.
