O Som Como Espelho Cultural de Uma Nação: Um Estudo da Articulação Sonora e Composição Estética da Obra Feel The Sounds Of Kenya

Abstract

This article investigates aspects of the human relationship with sound and how the acoustic horizon of different communities can represent a cultural reflection of the reality of nations. The work analyzes, from a semiotic and aesthetic perspective, an audiovisual work of great humanitarian importance: Feel the Sounds of Kenya, created by the Swiss artist Cee-Roo. The study considers the treatment of the sound elements of the work, such as the selection of timbres, rhythm, intensity and melody in the composition of an original soundtrack, and also looks at aspects of visual language, such as colors, mise en scene and edition, which end up making the project an admirable tribute to Kenya.
