Abstract

The study deals with the list of ‘books’ written probably shortly after 1420 on the rear pastedown of the National Museum Library manuscript XVI F 11. This list is likely to have been made by the owner of the manuscript at that time, Přibík from Ostrý, but no further information on him is available in any sources. The list contains 17 items, some with ‘prices’, but both the titles and the values indicate that this is not an inventory of real books or works to be taken seriously. Nevertheless, the scribe clearly expressed in it both his anti-Hussite sentiments and his knowledge of the derogatory stereotypes of the time used to describe adherents of the Hussite doctrine.
