Abstract
Between provocation and indifference the so-called non-dance has arisen in the Portuguese Terpsicorean landscape as a fait divers that has not always gone well nor has been taken very seriously. Although, strictly speaking, it is not some kind of “line” of shows that fiercely oppose dance – choreographed and performed by artists trained in academic codes and in which the movement prevails at its base and space goes beyond their minds – the performers end up refusing on stage any kind of “expressive” movement, anchored in physical work and, much less, with some kind of virtuousity.
