Abstract

The article considers investment diplomacy as a tool for economic integration. The author gives the main forms and methods of diplomatic support for investment activities, credit and financial organizations, gives the concept of investment activity regimes. The methodology based on the practice of law enforcement and the theoretical legal framework for regulating investment activity traditionally classifies foreign investment regimes into two types: absolute and relative. In the field of regulation of investment activity, the basis is multilateral intergovernmental agreements: regional and universal. The article presents the most important international organizations within the framework of which the regulation and support of the investment activities of credit and financial organizations is carried out. The author points to the role and place of diplomatic support for the investment activities of credit and financial organizations, indicating that the measures of diplomatic activity in support of investment activities are: the organization of investor forums; analytical and information activities; coordination by the embassy of the activities of national investors in the host country; providing legal support to investment projects; promotion of national investments; providing favorable conditions for national investors in the host country; lobbying, political pressure, bribery; ensuring the participation of national investors in investment tenders in the host country.
