Abstract

This article provides an integrative review of the impact of multidisciplinary approaches in emergency and urgent surgery. Through a critical analysis of existing literature, the study explores how the integration of various medical specialties and support roles contributes to improved clinical outcomes and organizational efficiency in emergency situations. The review highlights the evolution of surgical techniques, including the use of robotic surgery, and the importance of close collaboration between surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and technicians. Additionally, the article discusses how multidisciplinary approaches influence preoperative management and postoperative complications, offering a comprehensive view of the current clinical practice’s challenges and opportunities. Finally, it reflects on the future of emergency surgery, emphasizing the ongoing need for innovation and training to address future challenges.
