Abstract
O autor do presente trabalho realizou um estudo paisagístico do foco pestoso do município de Teresópolis, Estado do Rio de Janeiro. O estudo compreendeu a revisão dos casos humanos desde 1938, os aspectos geológicos, climáticos, geográficos, fitofisionômicos e a fauna de roedores. Discussões foram feitas em tôrno do Homem e suas interações com o ambiente, relacionando-as com o problema da peste.
