Abstract

The dialogue between History and Political Science (PC), whose theoretical concepts are very useful for the interpretation of longer conjunctural units, needs to be sharpened. In this paper, following the possibility of studying 1890-1930 as a unitary block, we will try to demonstrate the usefulness of PC for the historiography of this period of "Crisis of Liberalism" and for the advancement of the study of political parties. We cut out the first course of this crisis (1890-1910) to carry out a practical application demonstrating the fecundity of the intended interdisciplinary dialogue.
