Abstract

In this paper, i discuss the relationship between individual style and genre style in the process of writing acquisition, considering the flexibility of discursive genres. The question is how it is possible to consider both genre and individual styles in the teaching of writing. ipropose that both styles be considered in school, as a way of exploring the flexibility of discursive genres, differently from what generally occurs.
