Abstract

At this time, the qualifications that give access to the profession of conservator-restorer require an undergraduate Bachelor degree followed by a postgraduate Master's degree. This poses a number of problems related to the Bachelor degree that gives, or should give, admission to the Master's degree. These issues are discussed here based on the experience of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (Portugal).
