Abstract
This is a case report that aimed to reflect about the role of the nurse in a Hospital Infection Control Committee (CCIH) in ecosystem perspective, from the experience during the internship II of the undergraduate program in nursing. It was subsidized by the elaboration of the action plan in a CCIH in a small military hospital in the central Region of Rio Grande do Sul. This study becomes relevant, considering that, with each passing day, the hospital-acquired infections (IH) has been growing considerably in hospitals and health centers. This growth occurs by the technological evolution of invasive, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as by instrumental processing failure and ineffective precautionary measures. Descriptors: Nursing; Knowledge; Cross Infection; Ecosystem.
