Abstract

O artigo se ocupa das práticas históricas e culturais que envolvem o cinema no espaço transatlântico, mapeando seus diferentes vetores de mediação: a circulação de filmes, textos e teorias; o intercâmbio institucional; os agentes envolvidos nesse processo; e os espaços de sociabilidade e consumo. Como estudo de caso, examinaremos a participação do cinema nas exposições universais.
