Abstract
Objective Building on last year's workshop which examined the European Semester as a novel process requiring further attention, this roundtable provides an overview of the most recent developments, a theoretical and a practical presentation and a discussion amongst key stakeholders. Background: To ensure that the Member States who signed up to the ‘Europe 2020’ targets make progress and implement the requisite policies, a new system of economic monitoring and governance known as the ‘ European Semester’ has been established.
