Abstract

Patients with a history of multiple failed IVF cycles present a challenge in assisted reproduction, resulting in high rates of cancellation and poor outcomes. Suppression of endogenous gonadotropins with a combination of an estradiol (E2) patch and a GnRH antagonist (GnRH-a) during the luteal phase of the previous cycle has been shown to synchronize the development of the antral follicles, potentially resulting in a greater number of follicles reaching maturity in a synchronized fashion. Our objective was to compare IVF outcomes in patients with multiple failed attempts with other protocols undergoing stimulation after luteal phase E2 patch/GnRH-a (LPG) protocol versus microdose lupron protocol.
