Abstract

To assess patient satisfaction with a structured educational program directed to the special needs of women with spontaneous premature ovarian failure. Premature ovarian failure is characterized by the development of amenorrhea, sex hormone deficiency, infertility, and menopausal symptoms in women under the age of 40. Evidence has demonstrated that a structured teaching program can improve outcomes in diabetes management. This report is an initial step towards developing such a program for women with premature ovarian failure.
