Abstract

The goal of embryo grading is to provide useful information on the relative health of the embryo at the time of embryo transfer. This critical information is necessary for the clinician to draw comparisons between embryos, to make decisions regarding the number of embryos to transfer, as well as to provide prognostic information to patients regarding the likelihood of live birth. Despite the importance of such data, there is little published information on the predictive power of day 3 embryo grading on live birth rates and the likelihood of multiple pregnancy.
