Abstract

Summary The author draws attention to the kore statue which in 1928 was found at Vouni in Cyprus by the Swedish Cyprus Expedition. Since the statue was published (The Swedish Cyprus Expedition III, Stockholm 1937, p. 230, Pls. L–LIII; LIV, 5) a few more pieces of the sculpture have been discovered in the vast material of fragments brought to Sweden by the expedition. The new pieces are the left fore‐arm with the hand (fragm. No. V. 50), holding the folds of the chiton. On the arm there is a bracelet of the same kind as the golden ones belonging to the treasure of gold and silver objects found at Vouni in 1928. Possibly another fragment of a right hand holding an apple belongs to the statue (fragm. No. V. 492).
