Abstract
Nyctanthes arbortritis (Parijat tree) is a medicinal plant that has long been utilized in a variety of Ayurvedic formulations to treat a range of ailments. Many medicinal qualities like analgesic, antipyretic, antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-cancer properties, have been identified through comprehensive research on the pharmacological screening of Nyctanthes arbortritis. It has been demonstrated that the plant both inhibits the growth of certain cancer cells and has cytotoxic effects on them. As a promising therapy option for a range of inflammatory and pain related disorders, the extracts of its different plant parts have also been discovered to possess strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity. The plant extracts also have strong antifungal and antibacterial properties, which makes them a possible medicinal source for the creation of novel antibiotics.
