Abstract

Patients with gastrointestinal(GI) tract neoplasms usually suffer from malnutrition, which is associated with increased morbidity and mortality, reduction of treatment efficacy, increased risk of therapy-associated side-effects, increased length of hospital stay, and reduced quality of life. Proposing an adaptive nutritional support at each step of a multidisciplinary treatment approach for GI cancer is essential.
