Abstract

Monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of nutritional support for patients with post-COVID syndrome, and therapy and therapeutic diets for the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 were carried out. In each patient, before starting nutritional support, it is important to calculate the true energy requirement as a basal metabolic rate and corrections taking into account the patient's activity factor, risk factor, underweight and damage factor. The calculation of the need for energy and protein in patients with overweight was calculated on the recommended, and in patients with underweight — on the actual body weight. The diet was considered balanced when: proteins provide 10–15%, fats 20–30%, and carbohydrates 55–70% (10% simple carbohydrates) of calories.
