Abstract

To survey an actual status of food intake of firemen, the dietary intake of 131 firemen was investigated during 4 days at Yotsuya, Kojimachi and Arakawa fire-brigade stations in Tokyo on Feb. and March, 1953.According to its results, it is considered that the it average daily nutrient intake, based on 4 days records, is nutritionally adequate except with respect to vitamins and calcium, as compared with the recommended dietary allowances. The nutrient intake of them of three fire-brigade stations was also compared with each other, and that of the Arakawa fire-brigade is most adequate for their needs among them.
