Abstract

AbstractNuss Procedure, a physical approach with a conformed metal bar placed behind the sternum and anterior to the heart to correct the chest wall deformity, has been used to treat patients with pectus excavatum. Conventionally, stainless steel bars were used. However, stainless steel bars could not be used in patients with metal allergy. We report a case of a 37 year old male with metal allergy on whom we performed Nuss procedure with a titanium bar.
