Abstract

Objective To explore the application value of percutaneous transhepatic cholangial drainage (PTCD) in patients with obstructive jaundice. Methods 56 patients with obstructive jaundice were treated with PTCD. The puncture for drainage was performed under ultrasonic guidance. Results All the patients were drained successfully. Serum bilirubin and transaminase after surgery were significantly lower than those before surgery and the condition of whole body has improved. Conclusions It is an effective and safe method to treat obstructive jaundice with PTCD. Key words: Jaundice; Ultrasonic; Percutaneous transhepatic cholangial drainage
