Abstract

Background: alcohol consumption is a problem closely related to adolescence at first it tends to establish itself as a habit and later as an addiction when the individual is an adolescent. Objective: This study sought determine the effect of nursing intervention through peers in adolescent self-efficacy and alcohol consumption. Results: The results showed statistically significant differences after the intervention (z =-4.86; p =.000) and in the follow-ups of three (z =-4.78; p =.000) and six months (z =-4.78; p =.000), this was also seen in the consumption of alcohol in the measurement after the intervention (z =-4.74; p =.000) and in the follow-ups of three months (z =-4.74; p =.000) and six months (z =-4.74; p =.000). Conclusions: Based on the objective of the study it is possible to conclude that it is feasible to reduce the alcohol consumption and to promote self-efficacy in adolescents by means of “interconnected”.
