Abstract
Objective To prevent complications by the care of patients with extravascular leakage of contrast medium after rapid intravenous injection.Methods Eight patients with drug extravasation caused by high-pressure syringe injection of iohexol were treated with hydropathic compress or cold compress using 30％ to 50％ magnesium sulfate.And causes of extravasation were analyzed to provide effective care.Results The care of patients with drug extravasation caused by high-pressure syringe injection of iohexol in time maximatily reduced side effects and prevented complications.Conclusions The active care of patients with drug extravasation caused by high-pressure syringe injection of iohexol can prevent tissue adhesion and even tissue necrosis.
