Abstract

Objective To summarize the nursing experience of intravenous pyelography with computed radiography (IVP - CR) . Methods Clinical and imaging data of 560 cases undergoing IVP - CR were collected. The effect of bowel preparation with oral mannitol on the digital photos and incidence of side effects of iopromide were observed. Results Adverse effects occurred in 27 patients (4. 8% ) ;of them, 6 cases had to give up IVP - CR. Although there existed a lot of intestinal gas and contents in 98 cases ( 17. 7% ), their imaging findings of urinary system diseases were satisfactory. Conclusion Bowel preparation by oral mannitol is enough for IVP CR. The achievement ratio of IVP - CR can be improved by reasonable nursing intervention.
