Abstract

Eletric convulsive shock therapy has become a controversial topic in psychiatric services. Patients continue to have electroconvulsive therapy. The team nursing has seen the treatment as just another task. In this paper the authors present how the nurse can help the patient who is submitted to electroconvulsive therapy.
