Abstract

Objective To analyze the clinical nursing method for TCD foaming test in the diagnosis of patent foramen ovale in young patients with stroke. Methods 40 young patients with stroke in our hospital were enrolled in the study. All patients underwent the TCD foaming test. The diagnostic effect of TCD foaming test on patent foramen ovale and nursing cooperation method were retrospectively analyzed. Results In this group, 20 patients were diagnosed as negative by TCD foaming test, and 20 patients were positive, the positive rate was 50.00%, among whom, there were 6 cases of mild patent foramen ovale, 11 moderate cases, and 3 severe cases. The patients with positive TCD foaming test results were diagnosed as patent foramen ovale by transesophageal echocardiography or echocardiography. Patients with patent foramen ovale recovered well after PFO closure, without recurrence of stroke. Conclusion The TCD foaming test combined with targeted nursing has a high diagnostic accuracy for patent foramen ovale in patients with stroke.
