Abstract
Have the four letters CNST impinged on your working life yet? If not they will in the near future. The Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST) is part of the NHS Litigation Authority. It provides a means for all trusts in the NHS to fund the cost of clinical negligence litigation and to encourage and support effective management of claims and risk. It sets out standards of practice which trusts must adhere to in order to reduce the risk to patients.
