Abstract

According to this study: Important differences exist in the organizational structure and function of rapid response teams (RRTs) at top-performing versus non–top-performing hospitals for in-hospital cardiac arrest survival. Top-performing hospitals tend to have dedicated RRT staff who collaborate with bedside nurses in the surveillance of at-risk patients, both during a rapid response activation and afterward.
