Abstract

Nursing practice in an organization result from the leadership processes developed for the profession. It is reflected in the performance of nurses in interprofessional teams and the quality of care they provide to patients. Evidence-based practice (EBP) refers to decision-making in the development and delivery of health care services according to the best available research evidence, the experience of health care providers, and the values and preferences of patients. The adoption or implementation of EBP by organizations can lead to safer practices, better outcomes for individuals, and lower healthcare costs. In the literature, "champions" have been identified as determinants and agents of change to ensure adoption within institutions.
