Abstract

This article reviews the book Performance in Greek and Roman Theatre (ed. by George W. M. Harrison and Vayos Liapis, Brill, Leiden 2013, pp. 591). It concentrates on the important new features within the studies concerning the Ancient Greek and Roman Theatre and particularly highlights the methodological aspects and the concept of Performance. The authors expand the object in this analysis into aspects of which classical scholars themselves have taken no notice so far.
