Abstract

A. E. Grosse, Graduate Research Assistant, Department of Poultry Husbandry, Kansas State University, Manhattan, died February 3, 1960, of leukemia. He was born in Jamestown, Kansas, March 15, 1930, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, and a M.S. degree, in Poultry Breeding, from Kansas State University in 1952, and 1958, respectively.Following graduation he served as a Lieutenant in the Air Force in Korea. He returned to enter the Graduate School in February, 1956, and would have received a Ph.D. degree at the end of the 1960 Summer Session. His thesis was “The effect of strain and breed crosses on egg quality traits.”
