Abstract

As an efficient near-net shape-forming technology, LMD has attracted much attention. In this paper, the LMD process of single-pass multi-layer thin-walled parts of the nickel-based alloy is simulated by the finite element method, and the characteristic parameters of the melt pool are studied according to the temperature field. The impact of the process parameters including scan speed, laser power, spot radius as well as deposition thickness on the melt pool volume is discussed, which aims to provide theoretical support for the AM.
