Abstract
In this paper, a lattice Boltzmann model for Burgers’ equation is proposed through selecting equilibrium distribution function properly. The model has been verified by three test examples. The numerical results are found in good agreement with analytical solutions and numerical solutions reported in previous studies. The advantages of the resulting method are algorithmic simplicity, parallel computation, easy handling of complicated boundary conditions, so it is very easy to implement and deal with more complex problems.
